1.when acid and bases react with each other they form respective salt and water and this reaction is known as neutralization reaction. ex - HCl + NaOH ---------> NaCl + H2O

when acid and bases react with metals they form the salt and releases hydrogen gas

HCl + Na-------> NaCl + H2

when carbon dioxide is passed into lime water that is calcium hydroxide it will form calcium carbonate + water which is being evaporated it will give a shiny white colour . Ca(OH)2 + CO2 --------> CaCO3 + H2O
