Required Answer:-

The relation between worker and days is an indirect proportion. The question will arise Why?!

  • It is because if workers increase, days required to complete the work would decrease and vice versa.

Hence,

Mathematically, we can represent their relation like this:

 \large{ \underline{ \boxed{ \bf{W_1D_1 = W_2D_2}}}}

We have:

  • W1 = 20
  • D1 = 12
  • W2 = 15

To FinD:

  • D2 = ?

Let's plug the values then:

⇒ W1.D1 = W2.D2

⇒ D2 = W1.D1 / W2

⇒ D2 = 20 × 12 / 15

⇒ D2 = 16 days.

Therefore:-

  • 15 workers can complete the work in 16 days.
