Let your present age be x .
Then, x - 20 = 1x/3
3*(x-20) = x
3x - 60 = x
3x-x = 60
2x = 60
x = 30.
Therefore, your present age is 30.

The present age of the person is 30 Years.

Given:

The age of a person before 20 years was 1/3^rd of current age

To Find:

The present age of a person

Solution:

Let the present age of a person be a .

Then,

a - 20 = \frac{1}{3} a

by calculating,

3*(a - 20) = a

3a - 60 = a

3a - a = 60

2a = 60

a = 30.

Hence, the present age of a person is 30 years.
