20 years ago when my parents got married their average age was 23 years now the average age of my family consisting of myself and my parents only is 35 my present age is?

Mother's age = y years
Son's age = z years
ii ) 20 years back

Father's age = ( x - 20 ) years
Mother's age = ( y - 20 ) years
Average of their ages = 23 ( given )
( x - 20 + y - 20)/ 2 = 23
x + y - 40 = 46
x + y = 46 + 40
x + y = 86 --------------( 1 )
At present average of family = 35 ( given )
( x + y + z )/ 3 = 35
x + y + z = 105
86 + z = 105
z = 105 - 86
z = 19
Therefore
At present son's age = z = 19 years
