years. Now the average age of my family consisting of myself and my parents is 34
years. What is my present age?

that means ,(X+y)/2=23,

=>X+y=46,

let my age be z years

now,the average age of my parents with me is 34 years,

that means,(X+y+20+20+z)/3= 34

=>(46+40+z)=102,

=>z=102-86=16 .

therefore,my present age is 16 years.
