200 joules of heat is produced in each second in a 6 ohm resistance. Find the potential difference across the resistor.​

Given:-

  • Heat ,H = 200 J

  • Resistance ,R = 6 ohm

  • Time , t = 1

To Find:-

  • Potential Difference ,V

Solution:-

By using Joules's Law of Heating Effect.

• H = I²Rt

Substitute the value we get

→ 200 = I² ×6×1

→ I² = 200/6

→ I² = 33.33

→ I = √33.33

→ I = 5.77 A

Now, using Ohm's Law

• V = IR

Substitute the value we get

→ V = 5.77×6

→ V = 34.62 V

Therefore, the Potential Difference is 34.62 Volts
