We first convert the speed in meters per second since time is in seconds.

The speed for the train moving with a velocity of 80km/h is :

5 / 18 × 80 =( 400 / 18) m/s

Distance covered is :

(400/18) × 9 = 200 m

The speed of the other train in meters per second is :

120 × 5/18 = 600 / 18

Their relative speed is :

(600 / 18) - (400 / 18) = 200 / 18

In 9 seconds their relative length is :

9 × (200/18) = 100

The length of the other train is thus :

200 - 100 = 100m
