Answer : The molarity of diluted solution is 0.1428 mole/L.

Solution : Given,

Initial volume = 500 ml

Final volume = 500 + 200 = 700 ml

Initial molarity = 0.2 mole/L

Formula used :

M_1V_1=M_2V_2

where,

M_1 = initial molarity

M_2 = final molarity

V_1 = initial volume

V_2 = final volume

Now put all the given values in this formula, we get the molarity of diluted solution.

0.2mole/L\times 500ml=M_2\times 700ml

M_2=0.1428mole/L

Therefore, the molarity of diluted solution is 0.1428 mole/L.
