A solution contains 20g of sugar dissolved in 180g water calculate the concentration in tems of mass by mass percentage of solution.

Ans. Sugar dissolves = 20g

Water ( Mass ) = 340g

.°. Total Mass Of The Solution= 340g + 20g

= 360g

Therefore, mass by mass percentage of the solution = Mass of the solute / Total mass of the solution × 100

i.e, 20/360 × 100

=5.55% Ans.
