Explanation:

C2H2 + 5O2 -> 2CO2 + H2O. So, from the equation we can get that the concentration of CO2 will be 2x if the concentration of C2H2 is taken as x.

So, CO+ 1/2O2 -> CO2 and from here we can say that the concentration of CO2 will be same as CO which is (20-x).

Hence, 2x+20-x +8 will be equal to the volume 34ml. Which on solving we will get x will be 6ml which is C2H2 and 20-6=14 ml of CO.
