Answer:

\huge\mathfrak\green{Answer}

(i)Initial velocity = u = 19.6 m/s .

Acceleration due to gravity = g = -9.8 m/s

Time taken to reach the ground = t = 5s

Let assume height of the building is H

then displacement is y direction = S = -H

S = ut + at²/2

-H = (19.6)(5) - (9.8)(25)/2

-H = -24.5

H = 24.5 m

(ii)v=u+at [take acceleration negative because ball is coming down]

v=19.6+(-9.8×5)

v=19.6-49

v=29.4

Answer:

(i)Initial velocity = u = 19.6 m/s.

Acceleration due to gravity g= -9.8 m/s

t = 5s

Let assume height of the building is Y

then displacement is y direction = S= -Y

S ut +at/2

Y= (19.6)5) - (9.8)(25)/2

-Y=-24.5

Y = 24.5 m

(i)v=u+at [take acceleration negative

because ball is coming downward to earth]

v=19.6+(-9.8x5)

V=19.6-49

v=29.4
