QUESTION:-

21,18,15,....-81 can any term of this series be zero?

SOLUTION:-

a=21

d=18-21=-3

Let An=0

=> An=a+(n-1)d

0=21+(n-1)×-3

-21=(n-1)×-3

 \frac{-21}{-3} =n-1

7=n-1

n= 8

=>8th Term can be zero✓

21,18,15,....-81 can any term of this series be zero?

\huge\bold\blue{AnsWer}

→ a = 21 {first term }

→ d = 18-21 = -3 {common difference}

Let we assumed that the value of " An " be 0

So, by putting values in formula

[ An = a + (n-1) d ] we get ,

→ 0 = 21 + (n-1) × -3

→ -21 = (n-1) × -3

\sf{\frac{-21}{-3}}

→ 7 = n - 1

\huge\bold{n =\: 8}

Hence the 8th Term can be zero
