21) A pizza restaurant has a tradition of creating specially pizzas all of the same thickness, and in the shape of the perfect circle it also divides them up into exactly equal slices even if the number of slices per pizza is sometimes unusual. It sells small medium ,large and extra large pizzas. The diameter are 8,11,13 and 15 inches respectively they are each divided into 4,9,12, and 13 slices respectively. Which pizza has the largest slice?

We need to recall the following formula to solve

1. Area of circle A=\pi r^{2}.

2. Diameter d=2r.

where r is the radius of the circle.

Given a pizza restaurant has a tradition of making pizzas that are all the same thickness and shape, as well as dividing them into exactly equal slices, even if the number of slices per pizza is sometimes unusual. Small, medium, large, and extra large pizzas are available. The diameters are 8,11,13, and 15 inches, respectively, and they are divided into 4,9,12, and 13 slices.

We have to find which pizza has the largest slice.

For small pizza

Radius =8/2

           =4

Area

A=\pi 4^{2}

   =16\pi

Slice divide is 4 parts

then,  \frac{16\pi}{4} =4\pi

For medium pizza

Radius =11/2

Area

A=\pi (\frac{11}{2} )^{2}

   = \frac{121}{4} \pi

Slice divide is 9 parts

then,  \frac{ \frac{121}{4} \pi}{9} =\frac{121}{36} \pi

For large pizza

Radius =13/2

Area

A=\pi (\frac{13}{2} )^{2}

   = \frac{169}{4} \pi

Slice divide is 12 parts

then,  \frac{ \frac{169}{4} \pi}{12} =\frac{169}{48} \pi

For extra large pizza

Radius =15/2

Area

A=\pi (\frac{15}{2} )^{2}

   = \frac{225}{4} \pi

Slice divide is 13 parts

then,  \frac{ \frac{225}{4} \pi}{13} =\frac{225}{52} \pi

So by comparing all pizza slice extra large pizzas has largest slice.
