21. An aquarium is in the form of a cuboid. Whose external measures are 50cm X 30cm X 40cm. The
base, side faces and back faces are to be covered with a coloured paper. Find the area of paper
required. Find its cost also at the rate of Rs. 10 per cm.

area of paper = total surface are of aquarium

x = 2(50x30)+(30x40)+(40x50)

x = 2 x ( 1500 + 1200 + 2000)

x = 2 x 4700

x = 9400

the area of paper needed will be 9400 cm

The cost of paper needed = 9400 x 10 = 94000
