Step-by-step explanation:

we know that area of parallelogram = base × height

area of 1st = ar if 2and

AB × AL = BC × AM

27 × 8 = 18 × AM

216 = 18 × AM

AM = 216/18

AM = 12 cm

Answer:

In a parallelogram parallel lines are equal.

AB = DC

Therefore, Area of AB = Area of DC

Base of DC = 27cm

Height of DC or AL = 8cm

= 27 x 8cm square

= 216 cm square

As area of BC = Area of DC

Base of AB = 18cm

Height of AB or AM = h

Area of parallelogram = b x h

Area of parallelogram = 216cm square

216cm square = 18 x h

h = 216/18

Therefore, AM = 12cm.
