Answer:

1) Dry apricots have more solutes than pure water. ... When such apricots are transferred to the sugar solution, then the solution will be the hypertonic bearing high amount of solute. Hence, exosmosis, i.e., water will move from inside to the outside of apricot through the apricot wall. Due to this, apricot will shrink.

2)When RBC is kept in saline water, it will shrink. As the concentration of saline solution is higher than concentration inside the cell. Thus, the water will move outside the cytoplasm and cell will shrink.

3) When rheo leaves are boiled, this will shrink due to high temperature. The solute content within the leaves will falls out during heating due to osmosis.

Explanation:

(a) The apricots swell due to osmosis initially and when transferred to

sugar solution shrink again due to exosmosis.

(b) RBCs shrink due to exosmosis.

(c) There will be no change in cell shape or size because the cells are

dead due to boiling.
