Explanation:

Given :

Vertices of ∆ABC A (-1,0),B(5,-2) & C(8,2)

To find :-

Centroid of the triangle ∆ABC

Formula for finding centroid :-

\bold{\boxed{x =  \frac{x1 + x2 + x3}{3} }}

\bold{\boxed{y =  \frac{y1 + y2 + y3}{3}}}

Given points are :-

x1=-1;X2=5& X3=8

Y1=0,y2=-2 & y3=2

x =  \frac{ - 1 + 5 + 8}{3}  =  \frac{12}{3}  = 4

y =  \frac{0 - 2 + 2}{3}  = 0

Hence ,the points are (4,0) which is centroid

Therefore,centroid of ABC is (4,0)
