Given:

 \frac{2}{3}  +  \frac{1}{7}

To find:

Addition

Solve:

 \frac{2}{3}  +  \frac{1}{7}

As you can see denominators are not same. So, Take LCM of denomination to LCM the denominators same.

LCM of 3 and 7 is 3×7=21

Now;

 \frac{2}{3}  =  \frac{2 \times 7}{3 \times 7}  =  \frac{14}{21}

 \frac{1}{7}  =  \frac{1 \times 3}{7 \times 3}  =  \frac{3}{21}

Now all the denominators are same.

Now we plus the fractions.

 \frac{14}{21}  +  \frac{3}{21}  =  \frac{17}{21}

Hence, the required fraction is 17/21.
