The opposite sides of a parallelogram are equal.

Let the common multiple be x

Therefore,

  • 3x + 5x + 3x + 5x = 48
  • 16x = 48
  • x =  \frac{48}{16}
  • x = 3

The sides are -

  • 3x = 3 × 3 = 9cm
  • 5x = 5 × 3 = 15cm
