Given:

Sales turnover of a company in 2015 = ₹ 4748 crores

Sales turnover of a company in 2016 = ₹ 5847 crores

To find:

The increase in sales turnover in 2016

Calculation:

Increase in turnover = Sales turnover in 2016 - Sales turnover in 2015

                                  = ₹ 5847 crores - ₹ 4748 crores

                                  = ₹ 1099 crores

% increase in sales turnover = (1099 crores / 4748 crores)×100

                                               = 0.2314 × 100%

                                               = 23.14%

The increase in sales turnober in 2016 is 23.14%
