Plateaus are table like flat lands .most steel and iron industries are located here ..steel are heavy likewise iron are made from huge iron ores .for this reason plateaus make transportation of the huge raw material easy and efficient .
Apart from easening transport ,platues have abundant water .rivers flow from highlans to plateaus to plains then to the lake
