K = 210 × 12 × 18

working 14 hours a day , required to finish the job in 20 days. Then 20 is inversely proportional to both x and 14 . This gives K = x × 14 × 20

Comparing two expressions for , we obtain ,

x =  \frac{210 \times 12 \times 18}{14 \times 20}  \\  \\ x = 162

Thus , the required number of men is 162 .
