there are two ways
1) formula
i.e. (x+a)(x+b)= x^2 +(a+b)x + ab
now x=x. a= -3. b= -4.
so
(x - 3)(x - 4) = x^2 +(-3-4)x + (-3)(-4)
=x^2 +-7x + 12
second method
direct multiplication
(x - 3)(x - 4)=x(x - 4)-3(x - 4)
=x^2 -4x-3x + (-3)(-4)
