The Acceleration Of The Bus Is 36ms⁻²

Given

The initial velocity of the bus = 40 km/h

the final velocity of the bus = 80 km/h

Time is taken = 4 sec

TO FIND

Acceleration. of the bus

SOLUTION

We can simply solve the problem as follows-

We are given,

the \: initial \: velocity \: u \:  = 40 \times  \frac{18}{5}  = 144m {s}^{ - 1}

final \: velocity \:  = 80 \times  \frac{18}{5}  = 288m {s}^{ - 1}

Time taken, t = 4 sec.

To calculate the acceleration of the bus, we will apply the first equation of motion, which is as follows -

v \:  = u \:  + at

Putting the values in the above equation we get -

288 = 144 + 4a

a =  \frac{144}{4}  = 36m {s}^{ - 2}

Hence, the acceleration of the bus is 36ms⁻²
