so ,

area of square = side * side

12*12 = 144 cm sq

area of rectangle= area of square

144= l*b

144=14 *b

144/14= b

10.28 cm = b

so area of rectangle = 14 * 10.28

= 143.92 cm sq.

so the area of square enclosed more area.
