Let present age of manoj be x years.
Then,majoj's age after 12years =x+12
Manoj's age 4 years ago=x-4
Acording to the question.
x+12=3x-4
taking variable to 1 side and constant at the other side
3x-x=12+4
2x=16
x=16/2
x=8
hence,manoj's present age is 8 years
