Answer:

The total number of electrons present in 18 mL of water

 = 6.023 \times  {10}^{24}  \: electrons

Explanation:

First of all we have to convert the volume of water ---into--> mass of water and then the mass ---into--> number of moles of water as .:

mass of one Litre of water = approx 1 kg

=> mass of 1 mL of water = 1 gram

=> mass of 18 mL = 18 gram

Now as we know that the mass of one mole of water also = 18 g (i.e. 1×2 + 16)

And there are

6.023 \times  {10}^{23 \:}  \: molecules

in one mole of a substance

But the number of electrons in each molecule of water (H2O) = 2 + 8 = 10

HENCE the total number of electrons would be

 = 6.023 \times  {10}^{23}  \times   {10}^{1}   \\  = 6.023 \times  {10}^{24}  \: electrons
