Given :  एका रांगेत २५ आंब्याची झाडे आहेत.

प्रत्येक दोन झाडांमध्ये २ मीटर अंतर आहे

There are 25 mango trees in a row.

The distance between the each two trees is 2 meters.  

To Find : पहिल्या व शेवटच्या झाडामध्ये किती अंतर आहे

How much distance between the first and last tree

Solution :

Distance between 1st and 2nd tree = 2 मीटर  = 2( 2 - 1)

Distance between 1st and 3rd tree = 2 + 2 = 4 मीटर  = 2( 3 - 1)  

Distance between 1st and 4th tree = 2 + 2 + 2 = 6 मीटर  = 2( 4 - 1)  

Distance between 1st and nth tree = 2( n - 1)    मीटर

last tree = 25th  hence n = 25

=> Distance between 1st and last tree = 2( 25 - 1)  = 48  मीटर

पहिल्या व शेवटच्या झाडामध्ये  ४८ मी. अंतर आहे

distance between the first and last tree = 48 मीटर
