Given :

  • Length of the rectangular park = 175 m
  • Breadth of the rectangular park = 125 m
  • Rate of fencing the rectangular park = Rs. 12

To find :

  • Cost of fencing the rectangular park

Concept :

Firstly, calculate the perimeter of the rectangular park. Because fencing is done to boundaries and perimeter is the sum of the sides.

Then multiply the Periemeter by the rate of fencing. The resultant value will be the required answer.

➳ Formula to calculate perimeter of rectangle :-

  • Periemeter = 2(l + b)

where,

  • l stands for length
  • b stands for breadth

Solution :

Periemter of the rectangular park :-

→ Perimeter = 2(l + b)

→ Perimeter = 2(175 + 125)

→ Perimeter = 2(300)

→ Perimeter = 600

Perimeter of the rectangular park = 600 m

Cost of fencing the rectangular park :-

Cost = Perimeter × Rate

→ Cost = 600 × 12

→ Cost = 7,200

Therefore,

  • Cost of fencing a rectangular park of length 175 m and breadth 125 m at the rate of Rs. 12 per meter is Rs. 7,200

KNOW MORE :

  • Area of rectangle = length × breadth
  • Diagonal of rectangle = √(length)² + √(breadth)²
  • Area of square = side × side
  • Perimeter of square = 4 × side
  • Diagonal of square = √2 × side

Gívєn :

  • Length of Rectangular park = 175m

  • Breadth of Rectangular park = 125m

To Fínd :

  • Cost of fencing of rectangular park

Solutíon :

As in the question Length and breadth of rectangular park are given, where Length is 175m and breadth is 125m. Firstly we will find the perimeter of The Park That is given by 2 (L + B) , where L is referred to Length and B is referred to Breadth. After Finding the Perimeter of Rectangle we can easily find the cost of fencing For Rs. 12 per metre.

Perimeter of Rectangle = 2 (L + B)

Where,

  • Length (L) = 175m

  • Breadth (B) = 125m

Perimeter = 2 (175 + 125)

Perimeter = 2 × 300

Perimeter = 600m

Now, Cost of fencíng :

Cost of fencing Per metre = ₹ 12

Cost of fencing For 600m = 12 × 600

Cost of fencing = ₹ 7200

Required Cost of Fencing is ₹7200
