22. Force F is given in terms of time and distance x by
F = A sin C++ B cos Dx. Then, dimensions of A/B and
C/D are
a. [Mº L°T°), [MºLºT-1)
b. (MLT-2), [MºL-1T°)

Answer:

b)[M°LT-2], [M°L-1T°]

Explanation:

Sin of any value is always a number. So, A and B will have the same dimensions as that of Force(as when we add the two RHS values, we get F). Values having same dimensions can only be added.

A/B= dimensions of F

C is a pure no. as we are taking out it's sin value. Dx has to be a pure no. to take out sin. x has dimensions [M°LT°], so D will have dimensions [M°L-1T°].

C/D=[M°L-1T°]
