Given :

  • 22 g of Carbon dioxide

To find :

  • Moles of Carbon dioxide

Formula used :

 \sf n =  \dfrac{given \: mass}{molar \: mass}

where , n = number of moles

Solution :

Given mass of Carbon dioxide = 22 grams

Molar mass of Carbon dioxide = 12+(2×16)

=> 12+32

=> 44g

Molar mass of Carbon dioxide = 44

Now , we will find number of moles of carbon dioxide.

\sf \implies n =  \dfrac{given \: mass}{molar \: mass}

\sf \implies n =  \dfrac{22}{44}

\sf \implies n =  \dfrac{1}{2}

\sf \implies n =  0.5 \:  moles

Answer :

Moles of 22 gram Carbon dioxide = 0.5 moles
