To find : write the equation of progressive wave.

solution : A progressive wave travelling in positive x - direction can be described as y = A sin(2πt/T - 2πx/λ)

here frequency = 200 Hz

so, Time period = 1/200 sec

velocity of wave, v = 400 m/s

so wavelength, λ = vT = 400 × 1/200 = 2 m

Amplitude, A = 6 cm = 0.06 m

Therefore the equation of wave is y = (0.06 m) sin(2πt/{1/200) - 2πx/2} ⇒y = 0.06 sinπ(400t - x)
