here perimeter of triangle is 17 cm
(3x+1)+(2x+1)+(x+3)=17
3x+2x+x+1+1+3=17
6x+5=17
6x=17-5
6x=12
x=12/6
x=2
therefore the value of x is 2
(3x+1)+(2x+1)+(x+3)=17
3x+2x+x+1+1+3=17
6x+5=17
6x=17-5
6x=12
x=12/6
x=2
therefore the value of x is 2

If the perimeter of a triangle is 17 cm and its sides are 3x + 1, 2x + 1 and x + 3, then,
(3x + 1) + (2x + 1) +(x + 3) = 17cm
6x + 5 = 17cm
6x = 17 - 5
6x = 12
x = 12 ÷ 6
x = 2
So, The value of x = 2
