we know that ,

 \frac{1}{ R}  =  \frac{1}{ R1}  +  \frac{1}{R2 }  +  \frac{1}{R3} ..............

Given ,

R1 = 2 ohm

R2 = 4 ohm

R3 = 8 ohm

According to the question ,

\frac{1}{ Rnet}  =  \frac{1}{2}  +  \frac{1}{4}  +  \frac{1}{8} \\  \\ \frac{1}{ Rnet} =  \frac{4 + 2 + 1}{8}  \\  \\ \frac{1}{ Rnet} =  \frac{7}{8}  \\  \\ Rnet =  \frac{8}{7}
