Case of right angled triangle :-
base = 48cm
hypotenuse= 50cm .
By Pythagoras theorem , we get
{h}^{2} = {b}^{2} + {p}^{2}h2=b2+p2
So ,
{p}^{2} = {h}^{2} - {b}^{2}p2=h2−b2
= > {p}^{2} = {50}^{2} - {48}^{2}=>p2=502−482
= > {p}^{2} = 2500 - 2304=>p2=2500−2304
= > {p}^{2} = 196=>p2=196
= > p = \sqrt{196}=>p=196
= > p = 14=>p=14
So ,
Perpendicular = 14 cm .
Now area of triangle = 1 / 2 * b * p
= 1 / 2 * 48 * 14
= 48 * 7
= 336 cm²

Answer:
336
Step-by-step explanation:
Pythagoras theorem:- h² = p² + b²
p² = h² - b²
p² = 50² - 48²
p² = 196
p = 14
Area = ½ × b × h
Area = ½ × 14 × 48 = 48 × 7 = 336
