•on first he gain 15%=840+(840×15%)

SP=Rs966

•on second he lose 15%=360−(360×5%)

=Rs342

•total C.P=840+360=1200

•total S.P=342+966=Rs1308

•clearly he makes gain

•total gain=1308−1200=Rs108

•gain%= C.P/gain×100

=1200/108×100

=9%
