In our school, we celebrated Gandhi Jayanthi on 1st October. The assembly began with lighting of the lamp as a sign of respect representing the birthday. This was followed by a prayer in which we sang "Raghupathi Raghava rajaram" the famous song.
Students gave presentations comprising of Gandhiji’s childhood, school and college life, struggle in achieving independence to the country. Prizes were given to the students who won in the various competitions. The assembly was concluded with patriotic songs.
