All the steps in the above attachment have been carried out by using the BODMAS RULE or the BODMAS Precedence of mathematical signs, except in second step, where I have subtracted 13 from 48, as they do not interfere with the operations within the curly braces.

BODMAS stands for:

B = Brackets

1st = Bar bracket 'a line on top'

2nd = Parenthesis '( )'

3rd = Curly braces '{ }'

4th = Square or box brackets '[ ]'

O = Of or Order or Multiplication '× or of'

D = Division '÷'

M = Raw multiplication '×'

Why have I used 'raw'?

→ In order to distinguish between 'of' and '×'. So, whenever you encounter both 'of' and '×', just evaluate or operate the 'of' first and then '×'.

A = Addition '+'

S = Subtraction '-'
