A gas at a pressure of 5 atm is heated from 0 to
546°C and simultaneously compressed to- one-third of
its original volume. Hence final pressure is
(1) 10 atm
(3) 30 atm
(2) 45 atm
(4) 5 atm

Answer:

45atm

Explanation:

P1 = 5 atm

T1 = 273 K ;

T2 = (273 + 546) K= 819 K

V1 = V1

V2 = V1/3

Combining the gas laws, we obtain

P1V1÷T1=P2V2÷T2

or P2=P1V1×T2÷V2×T2

=>now substituting value

=>5×V1×819÷V1/3×273

=>5×819×3÷273 ( V1 cancelout with V1)

=>45atm
