★ Median marks obtained by the students of the class

• From graph No. of students are 10

• n=10 & n/2=5

• In an cumulative frequency graph

or an ogive for finding median we

have to look for the corresponding

value to the n/2

• In this case n/2 =5 & corresponding marks to n/2 are 10

• Hence median is 10 marks

Draw a perpendicular from 20 to the right to cut the Ogive curve at point A.

4. From point A where the Ogive curve is cut, draw a perpendicular on the x-axis. The point at which it touches the x-axis will be the median value of the series as shown in the graph.

Therefore Median of Marks =50.
