DE is parallel to AP

Reason: Given

By triangle proportionality theorem

\frac{BE}{EP}=\frac{BD}{DA}...(1)

In triangle BCA

Given: DP is parallel to AC

By triangle proportionality theorem

\frac{BP}{PC}=\frac{BD}{DA}...(2)

By equation (1) and equation (2)

We get

\frac{BE}{EP}=\frac{BP}{PC}

Hence, proved.
