Given that mass of solute = 23 g
Mass of solvent or water = 100 g
Therefore mass of solution = mass of solute + mass of solvent
= 23 g+100 g
= 123 g
And mass percentage = mass of solute / mass of solution ]*100
= 23/123 *100
=18.7%
