let the numerator be x

x + denominator = 2x + 4

denominator = x + 4

if increased by 3 the fraction is

x + 3/x + 7

it is given that they are in the ratio 2:3

therefore 2 (x +3) = 3 (x+7)

2x + 6 = 3x + 21

x = -15

the fraction is 15/11
