5

let the two numbers be 1x and 3x

       A.T.Q

1x+5/3x+5 = 1/2

2(1x+5) = 3x+5

2x+10 = 3x+5

2x-3x = 5-10

-x = -5

x=5

therefore,

1x=1(5)=5

3x=3(5)=15

Step-by-step explanation:

suppose the numbers are X & 3X

if we add 5 to each that ratio becomes 1:2

● (X+5)/(3X+5) = 1/2

● 2(X+5) = 3X+5

● 2X+10 = 3X+5

● 3X-2X = 10-5

● X = 5

So the numbers are 5 & 15
