The radius of gyration of a circular plate of diameter 20 cm will be 5 cm.

Given:

The diameter of the circular plate = 20 cm

The radius of the circular plate  = 10 cm

Now to find the radius of gyration of the circular plate we will first find the Moment of inertia of the plate.

I = \frac{\pi D^4}{64}

I = 7853.98 cm^4

Now we will find the area of the circular plate

Area = \pi r^{2}

Area = 314.15 cm²

Now we will use the formula

The radius of gyration  = (\frac{I}{A})^{1/2}

The radius of gyration =  5 cm

Therefore the radius of gyration of the circular plate will be 5 cm.
