24(18+x)-24(18-x)=1

We move all the terms to the left :

24(18+x)-24(18-x)-(1)=0

We add all the numbers together

24(x+18)-24(-1x+18)-1=0

We multiply parentheses

24x+24x+432-432-1=0

We add all the numbers together, and all the variables

48x-1=0

48x=1

x=1/48
