•The calculate total resistance or the equivalent resistance for the parellel combination is 4 ohm.

•The total resistance for a parellel combination of resistance is given as

1/R = (1/R1) + (1/R2)

•here, R1 = 5 ohm and R2 =20 ohm. •Therefore after putting in the respective values, the total resistance, R comes out to be = 4 ohm.
