In 1 day, no of men required = 40 × 24

In 32 days, no of men required = 40 × 24/32

 \frac{40 \times 24}{32}  \\  \\  \frac{960}{32}  = 30

Hence, 30 men are required to complete the job in 32 days.

Solution :

30 men can complete the job in 32 days.

We can simply solve this mathematical problem by using the following mathematical process. (our goal is to find the number men that can finish the job in 32 days)

Here, we will be using normal arithmetic method.

So,

In 40 days the job can be completed by = 24 men

or,

In 1 day the job can be completed by = (24×40) men

or,

In 1 day the job can be completed by = 960 men

or,

In 32 days the job can be completed by = (960÷32) men

or,

In 32 days the job can be completed by = 30 men
