2 mole of ethane requires 7 moles of oxygen for complete combustion.

Followed from Avogadro’s law that 2 volumes of ethane need 7 volumes of oxygen for complete combustion. That means 2 litres of ethane consume 7 litres of oxygen for complete combustion.

Here 2.21 litre of ethane requires 0.3 mole of oxygen for complete combustion.  

That means 2.21 litre of ethane requires 7.84 litres of oxygen
