let the height of the tower be x metres and the base distance or distance between foot be y metres

let the angle be A

in ABC

tanA = AB/BC = 20/y

tanA = 20/y

in ADE

tanA = DE/AE = (x-20)/y

tanA = (x-20)/y

Since, both the angles are equal

20/y = (x-20)/y

20 = x - 20

x = 40m

therefore height of tower is 40 metres
